Creating a TikTok Video
The most popular use-case for this template is adding one of our viral 3D animations to your video before uploading it to TikTok - helping you capture attention and entertain your viewers.
Here are some great examples to upload (before adding an animation):
- Influencer/UGC videos
- Product shots/videos
- Selfie videos
- Brand videos
...or anything else.
Here some examples for inspiration π
Itβs the same video, but with one of our proven, attention-grabbing animations added on top to stop them scrolling past.
To get started, click the Create New Video button in the top right of your account.
Then, click Social Post Video.
Select the TikTok template by clicking inside the "TikTok" box as shown below.
Next, you'll be taken into the editor where you can start creating your video π
Template Editor
Below, you'll see a preview of the editor.
1) The canvas.
2) Add text.
3) Add an image overlay.
1 - Add an Image or Video
If you hover your mouse over the big grey media field (shown below), you'll notice it asks you to click inside of it to select the image (or video) you'd like to add to the template as the primary background.
Clicking the Click here to add media field will open a pop-up as shown below:
#1 - Upload (Default)
Use this tab if you want to upload an image or video as your background.
#2 - Search Images
Select this tab if you'd like to browse our built-in stock image library (thanks to our direct integration with Unsplash).
#3 - Search Videos
Select this if you'd like to browse our stock footage library (thanks to our direct integration with Pixabay). Please note that video backgrounds are only available on our paid plans.
For the purpose of this tutorial, I'll proceed with uploading a video as my primary background in the canvas.
Click the Add button and it'll be inserted into your video template.
2 - Add Text
If you would like to add text inside your video, you can click the "Text" box next to the canvas:

Here's an example where I am promoting a coupon code:
After adding your text, you can also optionally add an image overlay (such as your logo, an illustration or anything else).
Below is an example where I have added the Breakout Clips logo to my video by clicking the 'Image' element on the right side of the canvas, and uploading our logo.
When you're happy with how your video is looking, click on Next.
Now you're able to add your animation to your video!
Adding Animations
On the right you'll see a sidebar showcasing all our animations (2,000+) you can use. You can search for animations by keyword, or click the first thumbnail ("View More" as shown below) to browse our full library.
Hover your mouse over any of the animation thumbnails for 1-2 seconds and a full preview will begin playing.
Click on any animation to select and add it to your video, or click the "close" icon in the top right corner of the page to return to the previous view.
When you select an animation, it'll be added to your video preview and you'll be able to see exactly how your video will look before it's rendered.
If you want to turn off the animation's sound effect, click the sound icon in-between the next and back buttons below your video (see more detailed instructions on that here).
Once you're happy, click on Next below your video.
Click the Start Rendering button, or click the breadcrumb navigation above the button to go back and make edits.
Your video will begin rendering. Depending on your video template edits and our current rendering queue, this should not take longer than 60 seconds.
Feel free to create a different video in the meantime while you wait, your video's rendering progress will be available on your dashboard (click "My Videos" in the top navigation menu to go to the dashboard).
When your video has finished rendering, you'll be shown an option to download your video file.
Click Download.
Now you can upload your new video file anywhere (such as TikTok)! π
