How to Add Your Brand & Logo to a Video in AI Studio
This guide will walk you through branding a 3D animation using AI Studio - from selecting an animation to rendering your final video.
This feature is currently in beta. You may run into issues - please contact us to report any issues by clicking the widget in the bottom right corner. Additionally, more scenes & animations will be added each week.
Overview of the Interface
When you open AI Studio, you’ll see:
- Sidebar (left) – Contains animation options.
- Canvas (center) – Displays the animation/scene.
- Toolbar (top) – Contains action controls.
Step 1: Choose an Animation
Browse through the animations in the left sidebar. You can hover to preview each one - and once you find one you like, just click to drop it onto the canvas.
👀 You can also toggle off the placeholder logos if they get in your way - those are just helpful guides for ideal logo placement.
Step 2: Preview it in the canvas
Once your animation is added, it’ll automatically start playing right in the center. Once the playback has completed, it'll pause for you to begin editing (or, you can manually pause it anytime).
Heads up: this is a low-res preview meant for editing speed - your final render will be in HD.
Step 3: Upload your logo or image
Now it’s time to add your branding!
- On the left-hand panel, click Upload and select the image or logo you want to add.
- Below the upload button, you'll be able to select whether you want your uploaded image to be automatically placed for you, or if you'd prefer to place it yourself.
🧠 Automatic Placement
- Instantly positions your logo in the optimal location based on the animation.
- Snaps perfectly onto surfaces designed for branding.
- Great if you want a fast and polished result with no guesswork.
🛠 Manual Placement
- Take full control.
- Click anywhere on the model to place your image.
- Ideal if you want to experiment with positioning or place the image somewhere custom.
Step 4: Fine-tuning the placement
Once placed, you can also resize or rotate it by using the sliders in the left sidebar.
Once you’re happy with how it looks, click Save settings.
Need to start over? Just click Reset image.
Step 5: See your branded animation in action
Next, replay the animation to preview how your branding appears in motion.
Happy with how it looks? Then you can proceed to click Export to begin rendering your video.
If you need further edits, click Reset image in the left sidebar.
Optional: Isolate the model
Click Isolate Model to hide the animation and see just the 3D object.
This is super handy if you want pixel-perfect logo placement.
Once Isolate Model is activated, click inside the canvas and begin dragging to manipulate the view of the model:
You can also zoom in or out using the toolbar + and - icons, or hover-over the canvas and use your mouse wheel.
Step 6: Export your animation
Click Export in the top action toolbar and your video will start rendering.
This usually takes 30 to 60 seconds, and you’ll see a live progress bar while rendering is in progress.
Once it’s done, your HD branded animation will be saved to your Breakout Clips animation library - and will be ready to use!
1) Preview your new animation.
2) Click + Add to video to overlay your new animation over any Breakout Clips video template.
3) Click How to add custom animation into video for a video tutorial on how to add it to any of your Breakout Clips videos or templates.
Step 7: Add your animation to a video
After rendering, click + Add to Video. You’ll get two options:
- Social Post Video – use it as part of a social design (tutorial for Social post videos).
- Scroll Stopper – overlay it onto an existing image or video (tutorial for Scroll Stopper videos).
Step 8: Start building your video
If you picked Social Post Video as your video type - pick a platform (like Instagram), upload your background media & text, and click Next.
If you picked Scroll Stopper as your video type, add your background media and click Next.
Step 9: Choose your animation and render
Your branded animation will already be pre-selected at the "Add animation" step!
Want to swap it out? Choose a different one from the Animations tab or click the Custom tab for ones you’ve previously created.
When you’re ready, click Next, then Start Rendering.
🎉 Bonus: Use your animation inside templates
Want to reuse this animation somewhere else? You can!
Just go to the Template Library, pick any video template you like, and overlay your animation on it - it’ll be available in your library for selection.
